STATEL Dear Bulldog Family, On behalf of my wife Sharon, and our foor children, I'm honored to have the opportunity to work for Director of Athietics John Cohen and President Dr. Mark Keenum, and l'm thrilled te represent this outstanding foothall program and fan base here at Mississippi State. Iam very familiar with how much pride this great state has in foothall and the outstanding players who have left legacies here. Although I will forever be proud and thanktul for my time at Washington State, I am excited about this next chapter in my journey as a head coach. I have heard for years about the family atmosphere that exists here, and in only 48 short bours, I can already tell it's true. When I was a young coach, Jackie Sherril took me under his wing and told me about this great place. When I fiest started coaching baseball, the first thing I read that guided my path was "Coaching Baseball" by Ron Polk. I stil use many of the principles I learned from these two men in my practices and coaching philasaphy today. I am honored to be able to follow in the footsteps of those coaching legends and now work at the place they are so revered. We have hard work ahead of es, but it is going to be fun and fulfiling. I know we have some great players, a passionate and dedicated fan base, and the backing of a great state to make it happen. We are going to work harder than any other team in the country this effseason. We're going to de this together - i's going te take every player on our team, every member of eur staft, and every member of the Bulldog tamily ta jump on board with us and move this program to new heights. I need you to renew your season tickets, buy new season tickets, get your cowbell and tailgating spots ready, and ler's pack Davis Wade Stadium on September 5n I need you to make Davis Wade the most difficult and intimidating environment to play in, in the entire country.
