NEW PHYSICIAN Joins OcHs Mercedes Terrell, MD, recently joined the medical staff at OCH Regional Medical Center. Dr. Terrell completed a bachelor of science degree in chemistry from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Honors Program and earned her medical degree in 2006 from George Wash ington University in Washington, DC. She completed her residency and internship at MedStar Franklin Square Med ical Center in Baltimore, MD, where she was honored with the "Resident of the Year Award for outstanding primary care. Dr. Terrell comes to 0CH from the VA in Baltimore where she provided care to veterans for more than three years. Prior to that, Dr. Terrell practiced with Johns Hop- kins Community Physicians in Baltimore for over five years where she managed acute and chronic medical conditions. Board-certified in internal medicine and a member of the American College of Physicians, Dr. Terrell provides preventative care and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of chronic illnesses. She enjoys building a rela- tionship with her patients and developing a personalized plan-of-care to treat the whole patient, physically and mentally.
