THE UNITY PARK ADVISORY COMMITTEE ACCEPING NIONS The Unity Park advisory committee will be accepting nominations for its 2020 honorees from September 1 through November 1, 2019 The committee is asking community members to submit names of potential honorees who have contributed to civil rights and unity in Oktibbeha County. The Committee will consider the nominees and will recommend up to two honorees to the Oktibbeha County Board of Supervisors. The selected honorees will be announced in a ceremony at the Unity Park on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, January 20, 2020. Each nominee must meet the following criteria: The nominee must have lived in Oktibbeha County for at least 1. part of his or her life. 2.) The nominee must have been deceased for at least five years at the time of the nomination. 3.) The nominee must have made a significant contribution to civil rights in Oktibbeha County, and 4.)
