church_06Wake Forest Baptist Church, due to the generous gift a decade ago of 16 acres of prime property at Highway 98 West and Wake Union Church Road, has been praying and discerning what is God’s dream and purpose for that property to be used as a catalyst to further enhance our witness and ministry to this community. We entered into a capital campaign in 2007 called "Imagine” that allowed us not only to renovate our existing facilities but also to move forward towards implementing Phase 1 of our plans for the Stephenson Property Annex. Over two million dollars was pledged towards making that dream a reality. In May of 2010 our church celebrated a groundbreaking ceremony in anticipation of the construction of a picnic pavilion, multi-purpose athletic field, regulation beach volleyball court, along with parking and other amenities.  This is stephenson_smallnow complete and we are excited about this new adventure of faith and ministry as WFBC now stretches its horizons to include ministry on a second campus that will allow us more than ever before to "connect our community to Christ.” Future plans call for a multi-purpose facility anchored by a gymnasium.
